1) Conference announcement
(Genoa, Italy, June 5-8, 2016)
XII Congresso del Gruppo Interdivisionale di Chimica Organometallica della Società Chimica Italiana
Over the years, the scientific interest addressed by many researchers, having different backgrounds, to the chemistry of metals and their potential application in many fields, has promoted the development of interdisciplinary fields of research such as bioorganometallic chemistry and materials science, focused on nanotechnologies, as well as new materials and processes whose goal is to produce zero-carbon energy. The researchers working in the field of organometallic chemistry have paid particular attention to the goal of sustainable processes, as witnessed by the continuing evolution of catalytic reactions.
The Scientific Program will be structured with Plenary Lectures (PL), Keynote Lectures (KL), Oral Communications (OC), a Flash Communication and poster section over two days. The official language of the congress will be English.
During the conference the G.I.C.O. Prize (Senior) and the Bonati Prize (Junior) of the SCI will be given to the winners.

2) Conference announcement
(Padua, Italy, September 14-17, 2016)
XLIV National Congress of Inorganic Chemistry of the Italian Chemical Society
The XLIV National Congress of Inorganic Chemistry of the Italian Chemical Society will be held in Padua (Italy) from 14th to 17th September 2016.
The conference program will cover most areas of Inorganic Chemistry, from the more classical coordination chemistry to the synthesis and characterization of new and smart materials for energy, environmental and sensing applications. Catalysis (homogeneous, heterogeneous and bio-) and bio-inorganic chemistry will also be key topics of this scientific event.
The conference program will consist of 5 Plenary Lectures, 5 Keynote lectures and a number of Oral Communications to be assigned among the congress attendees. Two Poster Sessions will complete the scientific program.
Details concerning list of speakers and scientific program, scheduling, registration, abstracts (format, submission), social events and accommodation are available at the official congress web-site: http://www.chimica.unipd.it/padova_inorg_2016/index.htm
3) Conference announcement
The 3rd International Symposium on Catalysis for Clean Energy and Sustainable Chemistry to be held in Madrid, Spain, from 7th to 9th of September, 2016. The spirit of the Organizing Committee of this International Symposium is organizing an encounter between scientists and industrialists worldwide with interest in the technological aspects of application of catalysis to the Sustainable Development. This symposium will help to review the present state of the art of these technologies and to discuss the possible future directions of evolution, and of course, how they can revert positively in the development of the society.
Scientific program will consist of 3 invited lectures, 3 keynotes, about 25 oral presentations and an estimate of 80 posters. This symposium will be organized around the following topics:
1. Catalytic Technologies for the Production of Bioproducts and Biofuels
a. Biosyngas production and transformation (FTS, Methanol, DME…)
b. Biofuels from Gasification and Pyrolysis
c. High added value products from lignocellulose, algae and waste oils
2. Catalysis for Sustainable Chemistry and Environmental Protection
a. Novel Processes
b. Photocatalysis and heterogeneous catalysis for water and air treatment
c. CO2 as raw material
3. Hydrogen: production, storage and uses
a. Hydrogen production from catalytic reformate, from photocatalytic water splitting, by thermochemical cycles, by electrolysis, biohydrogen routes
b. Fuel Cells and Electrocatalysis
c. Hydrogen storage

4) Conference announcement
(Grenoble, France, December 5-6, 2016)
Initiating a periodic event mainly focussed on
the Power to Gas systems and perspectives
The share of intermittent Renewable energies grows continuously. The surpluses should excess several hundreds of MWh in the future at the EU scale. Among energy storage solutions, Power to X (X: Gas, Liquid, Chemicals) systems offer large energy storage capacities and for several markets. Many Europeans countries investigate these technologies in demonstration projects. The objectives of this conference is to initiate an European periodic event on technologies and business development of Power to X systems. During this first event, the technologies of the different building blocks will be presented by industrials partners and RTOs. The techno-economic, environmental assessments and the legislations issues will also be exposed. These systems will be debated between experts and the audience.
